Mt. Monadnock

August 31, 2008

Pencil

3.5"x5"

Made this sketch of Mt. Monadnock when I was down at the in laws for the Labor Day Holiday. It is a pretty strong drawing but the little poem I wrote seems to be the stronger of the two pieces.

Stiff wind

bends the trees

moves the clouds

comforts my soul

Breaks nothing

that was not already broken

Hi, I've enjoyed seeing your work! I found your site through a search for Line-o-scribe as I just acquired one and I left a post on your October 2007 page. Then as I scrolled through I saw that you also have a Holbein etching(?) press? I have a press I got last year that has a Japanese name but it is identical to the Holbein press. I posted on my blog about restoring that. (http://lynnallisonstarun.blogspot.com) I'd love to hear anything you've learned about the proof press and using it.
