Jockey Cap - Fryberg, Maine

Pencil on paper
5.5"x3.5"
Yesterday we took the boys and their two friends on a short hike in Freyberg, Maine just over the NH border. Jockey Cap is a gigantic boulder with caves for the children and a beautiful panoramic view of the White Mountains and the Maine wilderness. The hike was easy but rewarding for me as this sketch is good enough to contemplate turning it into a print of some kind. At the moment I am thinking of transferring it to small copper plate that has been sitting with hard-ground on it waiting for some inspiration.
I might scratch this view onto the plate and go down to Radio Shack to get some Ferric Chloride to make an intaglio etching sometime soon.
