Went out in the rain while on vacation in the White Mountains of NH. Spied this view the day before but it was overcast and the clouds were boring so I decided to wait until the next morning. Of course it was raining, but I went out anyway and found a pleasant spot under some trees to flesh out the basic shapes of this scene. Then went in to the hotel and let the drawing dry before working on it extensively from memory.

Journeyed down to MA to visit a friend in the MFAIA program at Goddard. We paddled along the Charles River in Waltham, I made this sketch and we talked art for a few hours.

Sharpie, white-out and copy

I manipulated the original drawing a bit by using a copy and came up with a pretty solid design for my next small block print. My goal is to come up with at least a dozen solid 4"x6" blocks to eventually make a little book.
