I am an interdisciplinary artist and printmaker, living in Vermont since 1994. Inspired by the natural landscape I use imagination and memory to look beyond realism to make a statement about the pastoral landscape tradition in the 21st century. The photographer Ansel Adams once said he visualized his finished prints from the moment he set up his tripod in the field to the last moment in the darkroom. This is something that has taken years for me to make second nature. I love it when I have something in my head and can execute it in the most personal and self-satisfying way. I think I may title this new series of prints "Sick colors for a dying planet".
